So you've been curious about Sound Baths, but not sure what actually happens? Let me break it down for you here:
Get Cozy When you arrive, you’ll get to lie down and simply be. You’re also welcome to receive the sound bath sitting up, whatever feels best for your body. To get cozy, bring a yoga mat, blanket, and maybe a pillow. As your body enters deep relaxation, it’s natural for your temperature to drop slightly, so wearing warm clothes or dressing in layers can help you stay comfortable throughout the experience.
The Journey I’ll guide you through a short grounding practice (usually some light breathwork and a body scan) to help you drop into the present moment. Then comes the sound journey, which can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the session. I use crystal bowls, chimes, and other healing instruments to create soothing vibrations that support your nervous system in relaxing and unwinding!
The Experience Most people feel deeply relaxed, some even fall asleep, which is totally okay! Even if you doze off, you’ll still receive the benefits. You might have thoughts, emotions, or visuals come up...or you may just feel incredibly peaceful. There’s no right or wrong way to experience it, your body will receive exactly what it needs!
After the Sound Bath Afterward, we’ll take a moment to integrate so you’re not rushing back into the world too quickly. Make sure you hydrate, move slowly, and give yourself time to let the effects of the session settle in. Be gentle with yourself for the rest of the day, and allow your body to process whatever came up for you. This is all part of the healing journey!
